On the surface Xavier: Renegade Angel looks like a poorly animated mess that's a wonder how it got on TV in the first place. But once you get into it, it's a quirky show featuring charming animation, and surrealist humor that goes toe to toe with the likes of Tim & Eric and Eric Andre. The show has some very clever writing at points, and isn't scared to get a bit meta, without getting to serious, and not hindering the fun. Although I have some minor issues with the show, mainly that the second season is much weaker than the the first, with the writing taking a more obnoxious tone and the strange vernacular that Xavier talks in completely taking over every episode. I think that the first season is a 10/10, perfect surrealist humor TV show when standing on it's own, but gets bogged down by the second season that I frankly can't stand.
