My last comment was a bit rushed as was tired, anyway. I have read the other comments on this pile of dribble, and I am amazed that people are saying that this version was atmospheric ... it was no such thing!!! It is set in the moors, a cold wet windy place. This was NOT shown until the end. No one had a spec of dirt on their clothes from walking the moors, the womens dresses would have been splattered with the stuff, but no, not here, this was just a Vehicle for showing of costumes. No one could act, they all rushed their lines, and the guy playing Heathcliff was rubbish beyond belief. He kept to the same facial expression throughout, he showed no passion and just came off as a whining emo. The colour of the scenery was enhanced so badly it ruined it. one scene had the grass so green it's all you looked at, as it was more interesting than the dribbleness of acting on screen. The lighting was way wrong, and at night time it looked like they were using light bulbs instead of candles. The only one who done a good job acting was Burn Gorman, who played Hindley. Watch the 1970 version instead, way better :)
