This show could have been great had the producers managed it better. The weekly face offs were a bit much. Anyone who didn't "beat the seat" in the brief should have been eliminated without a new face off. This is most evident in the semi final with Nikki and Belinda. Nikki Should have been eliminated and not had the opportunity for a face off. She was on the bottom way too many times and never should have made it to the final.
The producers and judges never once considered an MUA's previous work work when judging. And because of that artists who showed consistent skill and artistry were eliminated in face off challenges by far inferior MUAs.
During the semi final with three MUAs left the judges actually helped Nikki but not the other two. They needed to stay out of it. I swear Nikki is related to someone who created or produced the show to have made it as far as she did.
While the fashion industry is cut throat and the judges needed to be critical, I could have done without their mean girl whispering and snickering about the artists during the challenges.
And Val...cut it with the "ding dong." It's not going to catch on.
