Never heard of Karuta until I watched this!

I never expected to be intrigued by an anime which involved a very serious but seems like a well known word card game in Japan. It sorta reminds me of playing Bridge in secondary school or playing Uno when I was a young bun. Btw Bridge is a terrible game if you ask me lol! .

I really thought Chihaya was the best strongest girl character out of the two boys, she's really determined to get through each round without failing. She really has the proper level headed gamer that you ever get to know and like this doesn't always have to involve video games! I thought her and Arata were really class players that I say, I probably lose to them since I wouldn't have the patience getting the right sentense or a word lol. I'd probably lose to them always lol!

It was nice for a change to watch a anime involving a Japanese game that a westerner like me, wouldn't even have heard of it. Only for this anime, I wouldn't ever know what Japan has in store and I have to say kudos because the game sounds awesome even if i wouldn't be interested in playing it!

Definately a 8/10 for me ^^
