First off I would like to say I'm 45 years old so I grew up watching The Originals and let me tell you that was one hour of pure hell as a child some of the actors we're way over the top we know who you are Bill LOL and some of the actors you can tell we're close to retirement age with that being said Star Trek generations hit the airwaves startup slow finished slow to had some really memorable episodes Deep Space Nine a travesty moving on Voyager it was missing a lot it had more time and money placed in it would have became a better show at least it did have an ending Enterprise it had things going for it so just come up shorts all of those have one thing in common you can look at it on your TV screen and you can tell it's not real it's just a back drop on some stage let's just fast forward to Discovery it's filmed like a movie an up-to-date science fiction and filmed in such a way that the edge of your TV is what separates our world from theirs I will admit a few episodes wasn't very well written kind of rushed and a few were a little bit of a sensory overload on trying to figure out back stories because it when it picked up speed for a new story it was a like a steam engine on a Runaway Train and I bet all the people but don't like discovery are the same people who didn't like fireflies or serenity Terminator dollhouse I know a few of Joss Wheaton's but I think you get the point give it a chance I say there's not enough of these shows out there too many reality shows that's not even reality it's as pure science fiction television as you can get and maybe tone it down on the character Dynamics a little bit and give us an action adventure the reason why or Bill work's the reason why the Orville work is because you know going into it that it supposed to be a comedy sci-fi maybe Discovery needs to go back to its roots and be about discovering a little bit more hopefully season 3 will get us there |
