What are the best led lights?

What are the best led lights? for no more than £50.

What sort of lights?

Presumably on that budget with no mention of numbers you're talking about a lamp or feature light fitting?

Something like them strip lights. That can change to different colours and be controlled by a remote control or your phone.

Hi all. I am looking at purchasing some LED strip lights for the back of my LG TV (55inches) to add some ambience to the room. I bought some cheap ones from Amazon but quickly cancelled them when I noticed a lot of reviewers saying they were too short. I also have concern that they would overheat and be a fire hazard to our curtains which rest against the edge of the tv in the daytime. I also read a very old thread here saying there is a potential that led strip lights could draw too much power from the tv and potentially damage it.

Are any of my concerns regarding the power and heat of the lights warranted? If not can anyone recommend some that would fit my LG TV?? Thanks in advance.

Just buy a kit something like this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Emwel-Waterproof-Flexible-Decoration-Controller/dp/B0711G2M7S/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1541708097&sr=8-8&keywords=led strip 10m

note they don't plug in to the TV, so no harm.

you just cut the strip at certain points and then use a joiner like https://www.amazon.co.uk/SOLDERLESS-CONNECTOR-SIMPLE-CONNECTION-LINKING/dp/B00JMESF8E/ref=sr_1_7?s=kitchen&ie=UTF8&qid=1541708164&sr=1-7&keywords=led strip joiner to connect the now cut strips together.

They’re the kind I were looking at. I have some concerns about them though.

I have a set (not necessarily the ones I linked) but they are fine. Must admit I don't leave them powered up all the time (don't trust the chinese transformer), but there's no need to use in the daytime anyway.

How about the Philips Hue strip? I bought the 2m strip with a 1m extension for £50 in the Black Friday sale. (It is more expensive at the moment though.) I can control it from my Philips light switch (all the other lights in the room are Hue bulbs too) or my TV remote control (Logitech Harmony) or my mobile phone app.
