Sky Q Mini box interferring with PS4?
Hi,I think that a Sky Q mini box is interfering with my PS4 pro.We have a virgin internet router and the PS4 generally runs fine, but I have noticed that it now starts lagging occasionally which I believe is being caused when a nearby Sky Q mini is turned.
Any thoughts how I can avoid this would be appreciated. I'll have a play with thesettings tonight, I'll separately try turning off 2.4GHz settings on the sky and PS4 and see if that helps... It's possible the router has a QoS (quality of service) system which attempts to prioritize traffic, this can be counter productive. You would have to login to the router to disable this feature.
The Sky Q Mini (I do not own one) from a quick Google seems to stream video from the main Sky box over the local network, the Mini may be saturating the WiFi bandwidth, switching the PS4 Pro or Sky Q Mini to 5Ghz or ethernet may help. Here's an update.Turning off 2.4GHz settings on the PS4 didn't help.Turning off 2.4GHz settings on the sky seemed to stop the picture glitching but unfortunately there was still a lot of distortion on the Bluetooth headphones.
Essentially we have resolved the issue with the picture but I am still unable to use the sky box at the same time as the PS4 due to the interference with the headphones.
Any further thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
