Home Mini and Echo Dot - Best Music Stream

Hi.

We've had Echo dots for over a year and love them, but :

1. Alexa is really dumb
2.Absolute Radio keeps cutting out.

1 I could live with but when there was an offer on a Home Mini I thought I'd give it a go to try to sort out 2.

Mini came this morning and 2 now seems fine.

We have Amazon Unlimited Music for the family, we have 4 dots altogether.

I want a music provider that allows all of us to listen to whatever we want.

Spotify looks complicated, do I really need 5 accounts set up? Or is it simple. Can I have an account for a minor?

Is Deezer any good?

Can I cast what I type into the app to the mini? I can to the dot from the Amazon music app.

Any feedback much appreciated.

Cheers

Whilst I can't help you with this, I just wanted to confirm that Google Assistant is fantastic compared to Alexa.

Get a Google play music account.

50 million song library should hit the spot. It works great and the suggested songs after you chose one are frequently an excellent choice.

I think that a Spotify family account would meet your needs exactly. 5 individual premium accounts on one plan. £14.99 a month, 40 Million Songs works with almost any smart speaker, allows downloading for off line listening plus playlists and all the other good stuff.
