Another thumbs up for Croatia. Split is gorgeous, or indeed Dubrovnik.

Valencia. Might be a little hotter than the temperature you required but when I was there in August a few years back it was quite breezy which kept you cool. Also Google tomato festival that they have each year. Best to avoid/not avoid depending if you wish to take part.

Of the two Valencia's I know and have visited, one is in Spain and the other is in Venezuela. The former fails the (2) not in Spain test and the later is a touch too far for a long weekend

Will certainly look at Croatia. I had been considering it before but the available flights aren't great

Delvey Publish time 2-12-2019 22:29:56

What is wrong with spain?

Astaroth Publish time 2-12-2019 22:29:57

Exceptionally racist experiences as someone of South American descent.

Delvey Publish time 2-12-2019 22:29:58

Fair enough. Don't think anyone has mentioned Agadir so will throw it in there.

Wow, I didn't expectthis to be the case

I was over in Costa Blanca towards the latter part of last year for a few weeksNot near the coast but Inland up in the mountains (although the elevation probably falls slightly short technically) and generally not a touristy area on the whole. Have Spanish friends there who are local and the nearest town (5 mins drive) has had a massive influx of south americans over the last few years. And I mean massive. I didn't feel like I was in spain, I felt like i was in south america even without having ever been to south america. There's nothing racist in this I'm just stating how it is.

Agriculture is the industry there and with the already dire unemployment levels they've experienced for many years, especially in these inland areas, there's no doubt that a huge influx of surplus workers (who can, quite possibly, already speak Spanish it is is important to note and i would think already used to working in a hot (or even hotter) environment) the competition for work and wage has got even tougher.

I have no personal agenda here whatsoever just stating what I know.

I wondered if there was any similarity to areas @Astaroth has visited?
