Help- a couple of days in Paris

Just found out I’m off to Paris tomorrow evening and coming home Monday evening, so a couple of days.
Any recommendations for things to do and places to eat. Might go to the Louvre , maybe a Christmas market but really interested in places to eat and drink!

thanks

le coupe chou We went for a lovely meal, but it was about 7 years ago now.
Great atmosphere, good food and wine.
Also Musee d'Orsay is wonderful.
Have a great time.

The Paris catacombs tour is good.

In the Latin Quarter. However it doesn't seem to get such good reviews of late.
Check it out in TA
11 Rue de Lanneau, 75005 Paris, France

Agree with @worz - Musee d'Orsay, better than the Louvre IMO (and much less busy).

Head to Montmartre - loads of great restaurants, especially around Place du Tertre, and while your there take in the Sacre Coeur.

Sorry noticed I didn’t actually mention the restaurant name
Anyway it was “le coupe chou“

Paris has some great places to visit and some very fine buildings to admire.

Sadly, it is no longer a place to love or a place to feel good in. They have utterly lost it, yet this was avoidable if they'd had the will.

Do go, but adopt a certain aloofness to the ruined atmosphere and a cautious stance against the increasing dangers. You can still enjoy particular places if you try to ignore all the ugliness and mither, but in other ways and in terms of atmosphere and romance, its a shadow of itself.

Sad but true.

A bit harsh I think. Sure there is a lot of military and police on the streets, sure there are lots of homeless people literally camping on the streets.

Personally I think the romance is still there, even though the last time I was there was with two teens and my wife. Walking down the sein at sunset, the atmosphere is fantastic. Heck even my daughters noticed it. People meeting, greeting and couples getting together around Quartier Latin. The art, the music, people dressing up and making an effort. Nope I think Paris is still pretty good.
