Duinrell, Holland, anyone been?
Hi allThe Missus, our 2 boys 10 & 8 and myself are thinking of going to Duinrell next year in July.
Anyone got any reviews etc Hi, never stayed there myself, but been to the Netherlands lots of times and the surrounding places like Leiden, the Hague, Gouda, Delft, ultrecht are lovely places data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7 I'm from the Netherlands and I've never like Duinrell...so much so that I've never even been tempted to go there...I much prefer De Efteling or Walibi....Or when I was Slagharen. But then again I've never been data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7
The Efteling I've been to loads of times data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7 Stayed there last year in october with eurocamp. My kids are younger and we thought it was probably better for older kids. The theme park was decent and is free if staying there. We didn't go to the water park. Weather wasn't amazing but didnt really matter and it didn't help the time of year we went. There is a central complex with a bar and entertainment for kids. Saw a few people getting around on quad buggy things which looked fun, but we couldn't use them. I used google maps to get around and it was flawless. Had a trip to Amsterdam, which was very different to what I remember from a stag do about 10 years ago. We enjoyed but this year decided to go somewhere hot. Anyone know the best way to get from amsterdam airport to Duinrell, 2 Adults and 2 Kids (9 & 11) you can go via train, but doesn't seem to be a direct route?
google suggests (depending on the time) that you'll need to transfer at either Leiden or Den Haag Central... but it's only 34km so maybe have a look at something like resort hoppa / suntransfers.com ? Going to book a Taxi, couldnt be bothered with the hassle of trains etc.
Our flight Home is not till 9.45pm, we where thinking of leaving our luggage at the airport and then going into Amsterdam, any suggestions on the best way to do this and whats best to do and see while we are they, remember two youngish kids en tow!!! Stay an extra night and get a flight in the morning. That is what we used to do, and still do. Makes it easier. In Duinrell at the minute, great spot which the kids love, water park and amusements are brilliant, hired bikes for the kids which is great.
Leaving on Friday but our flights aren’t till 9.30pm, instead of staying in Duinrell we are going to go in early to Amsterdam, not really sure yet what to do or where to go, any ideas how to spend a few hour (1pm - 7pm ish) Amsterdam Dungeon followed by Pancakes data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7
If the kids weren’t there then there are these places where you can rent a room by the hour, or less data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7
