Clearly discussions have been held, as the MS will be one of the "approved" stadiums for the RWC,and for Wales to play their matches there. Equally clearly, at the time, no one foresaw the potential for a England v Wales pool match!!
Great. good post. I think both sides are flapping but only from a board levelBut I really admire Gats and Lancaster no nonsense blokes who dont really care about the ground they play on ,just as long as its a good ground. The MS is a crap surface but better stadia , Twiksis the best surface to play on in this country in the open. I dont care where its played but want to see the best rugby possible. Ashton was very good on the good surfaceso was the 5/8th but Halfpenny always slips and slides on the condensation rich surface at the MS as do most of the players. I think the MS is proving to be a bug in the system for good rugby (yes great atmosphere) but not great for the players. Guys, anyone know when tickets go on sale for the RWC? This suggests you can sign up to be one of the first to find out when you can get a ticket (although you might just be buying a ticket for a pub across the road from the ground once hospitality quota are syphoned out data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
