How the hell did England lose that? 20 to win off 16 balls with 6 wickets left! Pretty lucky win for India, helped by a perfect pitch for them, some awful England batting, and some dodgy (suspicious?) umpiring.

Hi All,
What a Match!!! I really thought England had it in the bag after the Indian Batting Collapse but boy, India came back brilliantly form what I thought was certain defeat!
After so much waiting for the rain to pass, it was well worth it - both teams played well in the end & deserved to be in the final but man, this new Indian team seems like it is going places!
I really thought Ishant Sharma had blown it for the team again but for once, luck sided with him!
Well Done India who are now without doubt one of the best teams in the world & also to England who played excellent throughout the tournament!
Suave!

What a game! So glad we even got one in the end, ground staff did a great job on such a miserable day. Go India!!! //static.avforums.com/styles/avf/smilies/clap.gif
Couple of 50/50 decisions went against England like the Bell stumping, surely there wasn't enough evidence to give him out. Then again the TV umpire was Australian so he probably wanted to ensure England didn't get any silverware before they trounce the Aussies in the Ashes data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7. That boundary which was given to India when Bresnan pushed the boundary rope was also dubious. This is all obviously in hindsight though as at the time I was willing every decision to go India's way data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7.And then there were the overthrows gifting 4 runs (England's own doing this time). I'm also unsure on the height no-ball rule as the one to Bopara did look pretty close. I was under the impression that if the ball is too high and you make contact it can still be called a no-ball but a commentator said Bopara hit it so it couldn't be called. data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7
Anyway, I don't think anyone can complain India weren't worthy winners of the tournament remaining unbeaten even considering the warmups. Also congrats to Dhoni for being the only captain to win all ICC competitions; that's a great achievement.
I did cringe when the England team was booed when collecting their runner up medals, wasn't really any need for that. A nice touch by the Dhawan at the end though, dedicating his "golden bat" to the Indian flood victims.

That has to be the worst decision since TV technology has been used.
Close to being the worst decision. The ball was about a foot inside an imaginary line
The ball is classed as a wide if it bounces and then goesover the batsmens head. Because Bopara hit it, it couldn't be called wide. A full toss over waist high is a no ball.
I should add that a bouncer can be given as a no ball if the bowler had already bowled the allotted amount of bouncers for that over.
The best team of the tournament did win but what a laughable batting display by England. First our ineptness, again, at playing spinand then that collapse at the end.
