Can't argue with your pick Tony, except I'd pick Tom Youngs to start with Hibbard on the bench as Young's has been hitting his jumpers. Hibbard would make a great impact player off the bench.

Bench would be interesting. Ian Evans to cover the second row? Faletau? Shane Williams???

Good call I reckon. Possibly I'd put North in over Zebo if he's fit, and I agree with gibbsy about Youngs over Hibbard re throwing-in. Other than that, I reckon that's.

What's odd about the Hibbard thing is that I watched him warming up with Rowntree before the 'tahs match and he was doing the old "Keith Wood" trick of throwing the ball at the post - I reckon he hit 60%. Then he went on to throw trying to land on the crossbar. Even higher rate I thought. So he can do it!

Hibbard made a huge difference from the bench today so agree with you on thatHooker YoungsHibbard on the bench.
Good Call

Hibbard looks like he throws an arch rather than fast and straight. Makes a difference I suppose. As long as its down the line and not at 2 o,clock and our jumpers can compete both hookers are set for the first test. Hope North will be fit but Zebo is a good replacement.
Getting exciting now.

Good test side again ,but why do you mention the nationalities. Its about a man playing rugby in his best position at the best form of his life with the most experience during the Lions Tour ,its not a development side, its a side to win. Soquote " bit too light on Scots " Isa bit silly because if it were all Scotland players picked for the Test then they would be themen good enough to play for the Lions.

i think any Scottish rugby fan would feel a bit peeved if not one single Scottish player was in the side. Dont think that has ever happened before.Unfortunately none of the present lot has really raised their hand sufficiently to be included and I find that disappointing.Would like to have seen at least one maybe two in the squad if not the starting 15

tonyrees687 Publish time 2-12-2019 21:18:55

Yes I understand. But this is a British and Irish Lions side, no nationalities just Lions. The Autumn Tests are coming up, as well as Walesv England    under 20s Final on Sunday. So then we can have a good old go at everyone. Could be spicy.
But as always we are rugby fans and love a bit of banter the harder the better.

North passed as fit and ready to go.

Its not about having a GO. If it was I would be banging on about the lack of English players in the starting line up, but I am quite happy with the 3 chosen.I just feel the squad should reflect all four nations and as things stand only one Scottish player ,Maitland, has been picked for the bench and he is a bit of a surprise as well.Unfortunately none of the Scottish players really held their hand up so the selection is probably right
