I don't have an issue paying £30 a year for proper yardages. My mate has some cheap guff one and the yardages are awful on it.

I do have an issue paying £30 a year when you can buy an equivalent product with no annual subscription. My Garmin is usually within 1 yard of my Skycaddie, even my iPhone is within a couple. I'd still go for the GolfBuddy products if I was buying for the first time.
I took Golf up again last year after a 20 year lay off and was given a 25 handicap at my local club. I don't play in many competitions but played in a Medal off 3/4 handicap last week and scored 36 points, so would think I will be cut, as I should be as I am generally going round in 89-92
Tee to green I am not too bad, but on the green it is a nightmare! I tend to have more 3 putts than 2 putts
I use Skydroid on mu android phone for my range finder and it is accurate enough for me

competition this week is is to qualify for matchplay, top 16 (i think) qualify for matchplay, so my only real chance of winning something this year.

I play at Waterton Park Golf Club in Wakefield. It's a lovely course, relatively new but getting better each year.
