Well done CaptainCook, some good progress there.
35 points yesterday with the new clubs. Was windy and wet so not unhappy for the first outing.
Playing in the Wednesday Stableford today.

My temperament has always held me back - couldn't walk to the "next" shot, the previous duffer was always on my mind data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7 and so the negativity continued.
Was cut from 24.6 to 23.4 in October and 'promised' I'd get my demons sorted for the new season!!
Going well so far.
March Medal - cut to 22.6
April Medal - cut to 20.0 - finally broke 90 by carding an 87 //static.avforums.com/styles/avf/smilies/clap.gif
Sunday Stroke - cut to 19.2 after an 88
Temper is still there but, at 52 years old, surely I can reign it in data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

I really need to get back into Golf again, I haven't played for about 18 months now. I used to play regularly as a 'pleasure' golfer, though I did play one charity comp at Worksop as a friend invited me to play and came 7th, tbh I putted badly and should have been top 3.
I never had any lessons, just started playing and after a couple of seasons was playing off 16ish. My sister in laws partner has been having lessons for over 6 months and only just played his first actual round - I find that immensely strange data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

My handicap is not being able to hit the ball straight data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7 or, more often, not at all!
Just started playing with a society and have a handicap of 29 and boy do I need it lol
Think I might get lessons as I can't play much worse data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

got a skycaddie SG5 myself - brilliant thing. I reckon even over my home course which I've played probably 500 times or more, it still saves a few shots a round.
Excellent online stats keeping etc.
this is from last saturday's bounce game - you key the score in as you go round, it works out all the GIR's etc. Hook it up to your pc when you get home and it uploads all the information.
I think the newer ones are even wifi!

Skycaddies are superb but I detest the annual subscription. I have the SG3 (I think) but prefer to use my Garmin S1 GPS watch now. Not as fancy but does what I need.
If I was to go for a handheld GPS machine I would go for one of the GolfBuddy range.
Boo....I see you were protecting your handicap with a double bogey 7 on the last hole??data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7
