The good old clause 19.8data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

It's not your birdies, you must have had a bad or couple of bad holes that scored more than a double bogie?

Toasty Publish time 2-12-2019 21:11:38

Yes, I wrote that arse about face, the birdies counteracted a bad hole.

Hello chaps, just thought I would tell you that I bought new Titleist AP2 710 irons last week and used them for the first time yesterday. Have to say they are great clubs and I played really well (in the rain) the only problem was that my Putter was not working at all (putted terrible). I managed to come second in my weekly Swindle,so am very happy. data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Another massively inconsistent round on Saturday again.

Birdied par 5 2nd, parred the 4th after shanking my 2nd shot from 180 yards(a great shot from 140 yards for my 3rd and holed the putt).

Quadupled the 5th after loosing a ball, birdied par 3 7th with best shot of the day - 8 iron to about 2 ft. Followed that with a quadruple at the par 4 8th!!!

Sums up my golf perfectly - wonderful ball striking followed by woeful ball striking!

Yes indeed, I hate the shank, I was in prime position for winning the 17th to take the match down the last, but shanked a simple chip to the green to end up losing the hole and match instead, boo hiss..

Well i was two down on the turn, creamed the back 9 to win 4 -2 on the 16th data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Well, 3 lessons in and all is going rather well........really changed my swing, I was very out to in and casting at the top of the downswing. That's changed now, and now working on more consistency - need to learn to keep my feet on the ground for the backswing, and just twist my body. At least i'm hitting straightish now, and not horribly faded (that's all I cold do for the 1st 2 weeks, then it clicked for me yesterday on teh range).......hell, I even hit a smallish draw at the request of the pro tonight data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

So that's 2 weeks of hard work, and probably a 1000 balls at the range.

Another 4 lessons to go yet........and hopefully can get back out on a course again soon (feel a bit more confident to go back out now) once this weather gives in.......

At some point, i'll put up some vids......see how things have changed.
