Anyone use the C02 cycle pumps instead of old manual ones?

Anyone use the C02 cycle pumps instead of old manual ones? If so any good, dangerous etc? Expensive?

Yes I use them when out and about.Much less hassle and less bulky to carry (bearing in mind the more compact the pump the harder work it will generally be to use).

Make sure you deflate and refill with normal air when you get home though, a tyre full of CO2 will lose pressure much quicker than air.

They are pretty cheap,a tenner will get you an inflator and 10 cartridges. I use these: Tyre Inflators - The webs CO2 Cartridge Shop

the only reason I would use one is if I'm out and about and get a puncture- at home, before trips out, standard track pump.
