GAA Championship

May as well start this thread for any fellow GAA fans, or for those new fans who'll be able to watch 21 games on Sky's new coverage.

As a Tyrone fan we got lucky last week getting a draw against Down. Poor defending again, something that's been prevalent throughout the league campaign has clearly not been sorted. The replay on Sat evening in Newry should be another close game, but hopefully lessons have be learned.

Sligo for the Sam McGuire Trophy , not a chance but we live with hope one day it will happen... As for hurling Sligo do not do Hurling .... I have no doubt Kilkenny will be their or there about as always.

Tyrone through to the next round after winning the replay with Down 3-11-0-12.

Didn't see the replay but looks like it was straight forward. Down missed their chance last week!

Going to miss the Munster hurling as I'm out tomorrow. RTE Player is streaming games for free worldwide at the moment if anyone fancies watching it?

Can't wait for the Hurling Championship again this year. Even though I've never really played the game, or had much to shout about coming from Ulster (though my mother in law is from Kilkenny city), the recent championships have been more entertaining than the football.

Derry v Donegal tomorrow as well to look forward too, and a possible upset if London can beat Galway.

Big game today, Derry Donegal.

Defeat for Donegal and Jim's bubble will be well and truly burst imho.
Can't see anything other than a Derry win.

I don't even follow the game, but as a Donegal man married to a Derry woman, I will still revel in that win!

Caught up with the Sunday Game this morning - the hurling was good. Its hard to beat a Munster Hurling Championship for drama, excitement, physicality and speed. Great advert for the game !

I am the opposite, a Derry man married to a Donegal woman, and I was still happy to see Donegal win - is that wrong?

I have been living in Donegal for a long time now and prefer to see them do well, us Derry City folk have more in common with Donegal people than those from the County of Derry I think.

Plus all my kids are Donegalers.

Comfortable win in the end for Donegal. Last year was a strange year for them (with a small squad and players not available at various points due to club commitments), but I still fancy Donegal to win Ulster again this year. The intensity of their play at times yesterday was back to their best of a couple of years ago. Derry, on the other hand, were disappointing, but could benefit going through the back door with more games to play.

Great game in Thurles, was hoping Waterford could hold on but fair play to Cork.
