What an incredible shot from Donaldson, credit to Bradley, can't be easy knowing you've just conceeded the Ryder cup

Credit to Phil for speaking his mind rather than coming out with the usual bland platitudes.
Even more so as his implied criticism was aimed at the legendary Tom Watson

I like Mickelson, but there's a time and a place for post mortems and that press conference wasnt the right place. Tom Watson is a gentleman of the game and imo he didn't deserve to be hung out to dry by his most senior player in such a public fashion.

what a fantastic sunday data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

I thought the turning point was McDowell's comeback against Jordan Spieth, as we always knew the US going to come out all guns blazing, the US were starting to build up some steam at that point. and McIlroy showed why he is the best in the world at the moment, I thought he was in a different league, even if I am a little biased towards Donaldson as a Welshman, he showed great golf and determination for the whole 3 days, some fantastic performances from all 12 players over the 3 days

I agree with Dony regarding Mickelson, I was a bit stunned by his comments, yes he is a passionate american but that wasn't the place or time to be critical of your captain.

I got it for a fiver off Amazon not long after it came out, maybe six months? It's now back up to £20!data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7 Though it's only £7.50 with postage on Marketplace.

Picture's fantastic but it's not the same as the BBC coverage, it's all a bit more "dramatic". Personally, I love the ramped up atmosphere and Ian Poulter just turns into a complete wild-eyed lunatic! Worth owning just for footage of him single handedly taking on the Americans, winning and watching them shrivel!data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Just been catching up with day two of the BBC's highlights tonight and a thought came to mind (just the one, I don't want to overdo it): if UKIP had their way, would we end up going back to a GB & Ireland team?data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

If so, that would be a disaster! The Americans just used to turn up every two years, not put too much effort in, win by a mile and then fly smugly home in their private jets. Allowing European players into our team was just the best thing ever, we actually started winning the thing!

It was quite funny hearing the cries of "Europe! Europe!" ringing round the course, must have horrified any UKIP supporters present or watching at home....data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Without wishing to turn this into the politics forum, I've no idea why any UKIP supporters would be horrifieddata:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7.I certainly wasn't.//static.avforums.com/styles/avf/smilies/clap.gif

Politics and sport should never mix, apparently. I don't know why as politics is life.

Anyway, it was just a comedy post because much as I love my sport, I also think it's vital to not take it too seriously as it's mostly just a magnificent distraction from real life.
