New Golfer

Hi,

I'm looking at getting started in Golf. I played it casually quite a number of years ago but stopped it after a spell of being continually frustrated and threw the half set of clubs I had in the shed, where they've remained since.

Can anyone recommend a decent package including bag, clubs etc from a website that'll deliver? I don't mind paying for a decent set(half set) but don't wish to go over the top as I'd upgrade later if I got right 'into the swing of it' again...

Thanks in advance for comments/advice...

Depends what you want to spend:
Driver:
TaylorMade RBZ RocketBallz Stage 2 Golf Driver New 2013 - Clubhouse Golf
hybrid/iron combo set: Cleveland Mashie Iron/Hybrid Set Steel Shafts New 2012 - Clubhouse Golf
putter - get cut to 34" and re-grip should cost £10:
TaylorMade Ghost Manta Belly Putter New 2012 - Clubhouse Golf
bag:
Adidas adizero Golf Stand Bag Grey/Vivid Yellow - Clubhouse Golf

Good set - nothing too hard to hit but at the same time nothing you'd be desperate to get rid of ASAP if you starting improving or taking things more serious. You'd be carrying 9 clubs and would allow you to figure out if your gaps were wedges or longer clubs (hybrids/woods) and add that as you went along.
Be looking at £420 all said and done.....as I said depends what you're looking to spend. Obviously everything is available used and older models are always available.
Another option could be something like:
Wilson Profile VF Golf Package Set Steel - Clubhouse Golf

A decent set of clubs or package will not take away the frustration of playing poorly .

Spend the money on a set of lessons from your local club pro and learn the fundamentals of the game to really enjoy it.

Agree with the post above, get the basics from a pro and move from there
