Anyone for Athletics!
Following on from the other 'Anyone' threads, anyone watching the World Championships?Very much enjoyed it thus far. Can't believe Johnson-Thompson failed to register a jump last night in the heptathlon. Ennis looking good for the gold now.
Men's 100m final at 2.15 should be a cracker. All the big names there, and I think Bolt is worried for the 1st time. Have to fancy Gatlin to be honest, he looks so solid. Great win for Jess, shame Johnson-Thompson couldn't register a jump as she may well have got silver.
Also, superb win for Bolt. So glad that double drugs cheat didn't win. Athletics 1 - Drug Cheats 0 Also good win the other day for Mo Farah. Jessica Ennis-Hill is just about the most perfectly formed woman on the planet for me.
I clocked her talent years ago when she played second fiddle to Denise Lewis... who is also pretty easy on the eye. There's something about Heptathlete's data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7).
Anyway, glad she won and its good for the sport that Bolt won too (just).
I reckon Katarina Johnson-Thompson will come back next year and break 7000 points.
If she nails all of the events I'm not sure even the lovely Ennis-Hill could match her.
Rio next year will be interesting if they can both stay fit and healthy. What's wrong with the hammers? They keep throwing them away! Greg Rutherford gold. great stuff. Yep. Him, Jess and Mo doing the business again for Team GB.
I've really enjoyed watching these championships. Bolt vs Gatlin 2 still to come as well. Another great win for Bolt. Possibly the greatest track and field athlete the world has ever seen. He really is the supreme competitor. And also one of the coolest guys on the planet. These sprinters are beyond greedy. Who else could get paid in gold for 10 seconds work? Well done Mo, Sports personality of the year is going to be a tough one this year
