Hey guys,

I'm really sorry for the late reply. I've been travelling, and when I was in New Zealand, even when I used a VPN, this site wouldn't let me comment on any posts, due to being outside the UK. Very frustrating!

It turned out that I had neglected to notice a small ring on the front of the lens, which had been screwed on, in order to be able to attach a hood or something to it. I removed the ring and the problem was solved! Very embarassing! haha
