Copy images to view on an Asus android tablet.
I recently bought an Asus 10" tablet which has a USB C port. I have bought a USB C card reader but cannot see the images on the card. I also bought a USB C to micro USB to connect direct to the camera.I cannot find an app which allows my ultimate goal of viewing picturestaken on the tablet
Anyone got any suggestions. My best guess is you have a standard card reader but need an On The Go (OTG) capable version to show up in Android.
You will probably have more luck in the tablets forum as this isn't really a photography question.
If you report your own post and ask nicely, a mod may move it for you.
Tablets Forum What format are you taking the pictures with the camera, JPEG? Can you change the format the camera takes the pictures? If you are using RAW the tablet won't read them. Well if you have a Windows PC with OneDrive or use Google Drive you could just copy the photos into that then use either of those on the Android tablet to view the images.
If the Android tablet mounted the card reader it would not necessarily show up in just any old app, the card reader folder if you want to think of it that way would be under a file system folder like /mnt/USB1/ or /mnt/ext/ and you need something which can add that path.
Kodi can do it and is on the Google app store, go to photos, add path browse the internal file system and look for the card reader. Does the external sd card show atcall when you browse the tablet storage?
