Fancy FitBit Blaze Or Alta?

I have some spare Xmas money and fancied either a Blaze or an Alta. I know the Blaze is due on the 14th March, but wondered how you find your Alta dear reader?

Only really want it for the watch functionality, which hopefully changes as I travel for work to Europe...

I can now answer my own question - I went for the Blaze. I got mine from ARGOS with a £17.50 reduction for using my Nectar points! I set the Blaze up in 15 minutes including a 10 minute software update and the smart phone is just fabulous for the money with an excellent App which I have on my Nokia Lumia, iPad Mini & iPhone 4s... can't wait to see how fit I am. The strap is the standard blue rubber one and is so comfortable, I do not know I have the Blaze on my wrist. Well recommended!!

Now returned the Blaze and waiting for an Alta...

Why did you return it?

To see the display/clock etc you need to move your wrist upwards, the Blaze was often unresponsive and I often had to resort to a Nazi salute to get it to work! I didn't want to wear it on my right wrist. This meant by wearing it on my left wrist I could not wear my Longines Pilot's watch. With the ALTA, it has the best of both worlds and is more of a bracelet with a cooldisplay that I am happy to wear on my right wrist if that makes sense. ARGOS were a bit grumpy when I returned the Blaze, so I purchased the ALTA direct from FitBit as they have a 45 day money back guarantee...

Got the ALTA direct from FitBit for £99.00 and really love it. The bracelet is light and very discreet with a great display and features. Set up took no time at all and the software update I was prompted to do took less than 5 minutes. Synced to my iPad Mini with no problems at all. Great buy!!

Just seen the Blaze advertised, big thing that interests me is the changeable bands, reminds me of the Apple Watch (without the apps you can get for that) which I am looking to sell due to moving from Apple to Samsung, this seems like and affordable price compared to Samsung Gear
