Repair for a Panasonic DMZ-FZ200
Had this camera for a few years and it has served me well. However it has just developed an error where the zoom lens won't extend. Not sure if there's some grit in there but I've been through all the troubleshooting suggestions online and getting nowhere.
Any suggestions for somewhere to fix it? High Street or online? It would cost you more to fix it than its value. Bite the bullet & buy a new one. Damn, I was afraid you'd say that.
I'll maybe go DIY and see what I can do, otherwise it's back to the shopping trolley. You could get a quote from Panasonic - probably more than it's worth

It probably is beyond economic repair. My Canon and Fuji compacts have died with zoom faults and once they're out of warranty there aren't worth the cost of someone taking them to bits and replacing the lens. My current camera is an FZ330, previously I had an FZ150, which I flogged to death then sold it, & an FZ1000 Mk1, which I found too bulky & sold. Never had any zoom problems, just the switch on the 150 was getting slack. I have a lens tool which I bought when I was dismantling SLR's to make lamps. Don't know if it fits Panasonic, you can have it for £5 plus postage if you are interested. Think it cost about £30.
