I have a Series 1 watch and I always have my phone with me and if not then it’s only ever a few meters away. I can make and receive calls from my watch without any issues. I’ve just bought the Series 3 as want GPS and also handy being waterproof especially when in the Spa! After giving it long hard serious thought I really don’t think I need the Celluar version.

Good to know and now I think my mind is made up, I’ll get the watch but I can live without the cellular version probably shouldn’t say but my phone is never far away!
I ordered 2 new Series 3 Apple watches, UK Mail delivered one but the 2nd one vanished from the delivery van without trace. Apple called me this evening to say they are sending another for delivery next Tuesday.
They will file a loss with the courier company directly...
I turned mine on around 2.45pm and it was at 85% and used it without the phone for a few hours, it hasn’t had much signal and it is now on 47%, also a 30 min workout (walk)
