Smartwatch advice
Hi I`ve been thinking about buying a smartwatch but as I dont know much about them I thought I would ask on here first. My main reason to own a smartwatch was so I dont need to have my mobile phone with me at all times but after reading it seems I wont be able to do this as it looks like I need a network with EE my current mobile phone set up is Samsung galaxy s7 edge on a 24 month contract with Vodafone which ends April 2019.
I have looked at some smart watches online and I do like the look of Samsung galaxy watch and the Samsung gear s3 frontier but both watches connect via Bluetooth.
Is Bluetooth my only option
Any advise would be great You can leave the phone at home, if your watch has a sim card slot.
The Samsung devices don't run Android Wear siftsoft, they run Tizen. This is fine if you stick with Samsung, but not all apps are available for the watch.
I have a TicWatch pro and love it Been mulling this over all week. I think Samsung is the better hardware but I would want the better range of apps that Wear OS offers. I was going to wait for the next wave of devices until the Tickwatch Pro came on offer at £165. It arrives tomorrow. Iam I right in saying that the Samsung galaxy watch 4g can only work on EE network
