I keep thinking about buying one of those. My ballhead has one built-in, but once the camera's mounted I can't see it.
Is the 135L really as good as the reviews?

I would say so, yes, which is probably why it holds it's value in the second hand market.
i've been having the same dilemma about my 85mm. I think though I'm leaning towards keeping it..I don't need to sell it and I have used it before for portraits and it would be a pain to have to buy it again if i needed it. When I move to FF, I probably will sell it though and used the money to put towards the 135L.

im not a member there, do you need to have been a member for a while before using classifieds? Also i thought they were mainly US based?
edit: they aren't US based i was confused but do seem to need 25 posts and member for over 60 days
My tripod and head have 3 levels built in, but they are all pretty useless. 2 are on legs and as we know legs are often not straight and one on the 3 way head, but same as you, when camera is mounted I can't see it //static.avforums.com/styles/avf/smilies/facepalm.gif
