Fossil Smartwatches

Happy new year all!

I really (did) love the Fossil Gen 3 Q Control, it looked great, ticked all the boxes of waterproof, swappable straps, always on screen/all-day battery ... really, loved it:

                                                                                                                                        /proxy.php?image=https://i.imgur.com/4H9rUG9.jpg&hash=07f1ab9252b2cf46ac6eda805012b3a3

Well, in less than a year I'm now on my THIRD warranty watch (1 screen died, 2nd failed firmware update). Today I was sitting on the couch today and very quickly my Fossil ramped up the heat so much that I had to take the watch off because of the pain. I quickly removed the straps and put it on a cold surface in the kitchen. This watch now no longer boots. That's THREE DEAD out of THREE in about 10 months.

Oh and then there was this issue as well which Fossil offered to replace but, there was no need as I'd already got 2 spares from the previous watches replaced:

                                                                                                                                        /proxy.php?image=https://i.imgur.com/QqKPLu9.jpg&hash=1df173a6d3f7403a646f5c05bba3c52c

Be aware of my experience and consider this should you consider a Fossil.

So, as you can guess I'm now done with Fossil, they are a disgrace and I want a replacement and wondered if you guys had any ideas. I need the following:

Waterproof (not just resistant)Screen on/All day batteryswappable straps (Bonus: 20mm straps as I have a ton of them)A screen for bright sunshine (I live in Bahrain, Middle East)An accurate heart rate monitor (the Fossil one was terrible!)Smart looking, not sporty lookingI've looked at the Falster 2:

                                                                                                                                        /proxy.php?image=https://o.aolcdn.com/images/dims?quality=85&image_uri=http%3A%2F%2Fo.aolcdn.com%2Fhss%2Fstorage%2Fmidas%2Fb8b8d92d54c443328a6df147b075fb19%2F206619080%2Fskagen-falster-2.jpg&client=amp-blogside-v2&signature=3331f83e6a21c538c07c31c6142ac516ba6162c2&hash=c276224d48d377afae79ab4a1ab1e685

The big problem with this seems to be the battery life which is only 12-16 hours. I realise it's also a stealth Fossil (but made by Skagen)

Any other ideas?

Thanks!

Depends on your budget?

I treated myself to a Fossil Gen 4 courtesy of eBay last month; it's okay, I didn't realise that it would need charging on a daily basis though.

As for recommendations, Tic Watch Pro maybe
