Amazon Fire HD8 TV connection?

Hi, I have searched the internet all over to seek a clear answer to this but have been unable to find anything. I have a fire HD8 which i think is 6th generation (Purchased March 2017) and I'd like to get my movies from showbox onto my 2 TV's. One is a Sony smart TV wireless but it won't accept the screen mirror, and my Panasonic TV isn't wireless but it's smart.

I've been told a cable wont work on these Micro USB to HDMI, so if that's true, will a chrome cast or miracast work? What is my simplest way to view on the big screen?

If your Sony smart TV runs the Android operating system it should have Chromecast built in (worth checking before you buy a Chromecast). It seems there are ways of sideloading the necessary apps onto a Fire tablet but you may find it easier to just sign in to your showbox account from an Android phone and cast from that. This does rely on having an android phone knocking about, but even an old/cheap one should work as the device you are casting from only acts as a remote and doesn't actually stream content to the TV.
Hope that helps. If not I'm sure someone with a bit more knowledge than me will be along in a bit.

The sony bravia used to screen mirror then they done an upgrade and now it wont work with my samsung galaxy s5 so i bought a HD8 and that doesnt work either. I've seenfew people posting about miracast but i'm not sure how they differ from chromecast.
I wanted the tablet for home movies and kids to watch films on the TV without all the phone messenger notifications popping up on the screen.
