I'm in the market for a new tablet, I currently have the Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 which Samsung stopped supporting about 6 months after it's release so is stuck on Kitkat, the limited 16gb internal memory is a pain and the battery has deteriorated over the years. I was considering the S2 9.7 but not sold on the 4:3 aspect ratio, I was even contemplating an iPad Pro 12.9 but I'm really trying to avoid Apple as I'm an Android guy and don't want to be told what I can and can't download / do with my device. I then came across the Sony Z4 which has the bigger screen 10.1, 16:9 aspect ratio, 32gb storage, Bluetooth keyboard, Nougat update incoming, my only issue is it looks like it came out nearly 18 months ago and it's still selling for a premium price. Has anyone got any experience or considered this device? There really seems to be a lack of new premium Android tablets around, damn you Apple!!!! data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Its unusual isnt it? Last time I was looking of a new android tablet there was loads to choose from.
I got the Google Pixel C recently and the more I use it, the more delighted I am. I didn't expect too much of an improvement on my Tab S2 but its a better all rounder in my opinion. Ive no experience of the Sony. If its 18 months old I would be inclined to wait for the new announcements on whats coming out soon - not that I followed that advice myself lol

The pixel c?
Mines got an issue where the sound stops working until I restart, seems others have had the issue as well. I'll have to contact them and see what they are saying

I'm in the market for another tablet. I've basically got to decide between the Zenbook z500 or the pixel c. I'm favouring the former as I can get it for £260 over the pixel which is currently £400. Spec wise I don't think the pixel c warrants the extra outlay. I have the pixel phone btw.

Ive had the Pixel C for maybe 8 months now, its decent enough but never really had the wow factor.
The magnetic keyboard is a decent accessory, the closest I've ever seen to a decent tablet keyboard.
It seems to pick up marks and scratches more than any other tablet I've had. It does the job for me for now but I suspect ill upgrade if and when something exciting comes out.

I might just go all out and get the Samsung S3.

Yeah I'm leaning towards that aswell, the cost puts me off a bit, and it seems the keyboard option is possibly not as good.

Yeah I don't know if I can justify that cost really when the pixel is currently £200 less. I might just go for the zenpad for now and if it gets good usage regularly then I'll upgrade to the S3 once it's had a price drop.

Im really close to trading in my Pixel C - I can live without a keyboard case, cool as it was I rarely used it. I would get my macbook out for any serious typing.
Im just struggling to justify the Tab S3 - I cant see how it will be better enough to justify the cost.
