Pixel C owners thread and initial problems...
Hi folks,My tablet has just arrived, all looks good as does the keyboard.
I ordered some micro USB to USB type c adapters to use with my existing cables, plus a type c / regular USB reversible memory stick for storage. It picks that up no problem, and will charge using my old cables via the adapters no problem but won't recognise my old micro sd / regular USB reversible memory stick.
I thought it might be formatted different but I've tried the new one on my TV and it plays fine (my TV is very picky about these)
It's not a huge problem but would have been useful for transferring some files from my old tablet to the new one.
Any ideas or even just the reason it won't work?
Thanks
Happy to try and answer any questions people may have about this tablet, couldn't find an owners thread. It got it directly from Google in the sale, along with the keyboard, quite a nice discount. Managed to sort it via a paid for app, seems a bit poor but £3 problem solved Really impressed with this after a week or so of having it. The keyboard is a fantastic accessory and makes a flawless stand for watching movies etc.
Just got a steel series game controller aswell which works brilliantly with it. I'm back in the Android world!
Had an iPad Air 2 of which I've given to the wife as her Mini 2 was on it's last legs.
So with that, I've managed to source a mint 32gb Pixel C (unfortunately missed out on the £300 deal that Google were doing for the 64GB), which should be arriving tomorrow. So far really impressed. My old Nexus 10 was switching itself off so managed to get this when Google did the £299 offer.
Only thing I might miss is the mini HDMI out as while my newer TV does casting my older one does not
