returning to Argos for a refund

Not actually bought a tablet yet, but wondering if anyone has any experience returning one to Argos under their 30 day refund option, even if the item is unsealed, but obviously in a re-saleable condition.

I can't see you having any problems returning it as long as it falls under their returns conditions.

allways order of the Internet to pick up in store that way you have more protection.
e.g distance selling regulations

Use your credit card too, if you have one. If the tablet is more than £100 you get more consumer protection We explain the protection offered by a using a credit card

I have always found Argos pretty good for returns. I imagine every area is different though.

Oh, I was not aware of that.....

So does that apply to all stores, like Currys etc?

It's always seemed daft, you mail order, have it delivered, and have more protection.
Unpack it, look, perhaps try it? find out it's not what you expected and get a refund.

But if you drive down the store and pick it up, you don't get that same protection.

So if I buy online from Argos/Currys and pay first, then go pick it up, I've got the extra cover?

And, do the stores know that I wonder?
