Dead ipad have I lost my paid for apps?

My ipad has died and the repair centre said it's a gonna, some chip has died.

My daughter has an old one she don't use, could I restore that one so it's blank and then log into my iTunes and get get all my paid for apps back? Many thanks

I never backed anything up!

Apps are tied to your Apple Account so you should be able to redowlaod them fine
