Google Play Movies...
I used to have a Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5"(2018) and now I have a brand new Samsung Galaxy S4, the following issue I'm going to mention was/has/is happening on both devices.I have a SanDisk 128gb SD card which I download my Google Play Movies onto, they load fine, show up on the SD card memory, but when I go to play them I get the following message "File not found. Please remove this video, or reinsert the storage onto which it was downloaded"
I have formatted the card and removed and reinserted it.
Some movies play fine and some don't, some play fine one minute, then when I try them another day, I get that error message and they don't play.
Am I safe in saying that the SD card is faulty and needs replaced ? Not sure if this will work but try Step 2.
Samsung Galaxy S4 Gallery can't find pictures & videos but they show in My Files Cheers for that, but I'm still having problems, despite upgrading to a Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 and a new Samsung Evo Plus 256gb SD card.
They are just not downloading to the SD card, fine to the device memory.Spoke to Samsung Support, they palmed me off to Google and I expect Google will palm me off back to Samsung !! Sad to hear that and it makes me damned annoyed that they do that.
Will take another look and see what I can find. What video player are you using on the A10 to play your movies? Don't have a A10 !!And I don't know.I've always just downloaded the Google play movies app, then just watch them.I downloaded some more last night to SD card, some downloaded, some didn't.And then the ones that did download and play last night, some of them are not playing this morning!!! I am in Reading today, so I'm going to pop in to the Samsung Store there and see if they can make head or tail of this rubbish !! That was a typo by me including the 10 from 10,5.
Yes it would be good to know if someone in a Samsung store can spot any problems. It could be something as simple as the SD card. But let us know how you get on please. I'll let you know what they say, but it's the second brand new Samsung SD card, so I'd be surprised if it's them. Also, when taking the sd card out of the tablet, they play 8n any other devices !! Yes I suspect it's something on the Tab A.
You could try downloading VLC on it to see if it's a problem with the player.
VLC for Android - Free Download & App Review UPDATE......The guy at the Samsung store did a full reset and and updated the software. After this, it got me thinking,so I used H2testw software on my laptop to test the SD card, it threw up loads of errors, corrupt and defective messages, it was a brand new card, it just did not occur to me that a new card could be corrupt or even fake, anyway, it's in the bin (I got a refund from the seller) and since Samsung UK are out of stock on their own website, I asked the Samsung Live Chat person, where I could buy one from a reputableseller, as their own website still shows Maplins !!
He sent me a link to one on Amazon, so its ordered and hopefully it will work when I get it !!
