(SteamVR) Way to get final output of graphics pipeline sent to head-mounted display?

Hi all,

In SteamVR, there is an option where you can manually set the resolution that will be displayed in your head-mounted display. Here is a link to what that window looks like.

I would like to somehow verify that the number that SteamVR says is the current resolution is accurate. Is there any way to do this?Is there a way to extract the raw image data that will be sent to the HMD so that I can compare its resolution to what SteamVR is saying?

Any information/feedback would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Yup it works, you can use an app called "FPSvr" to monitor framerates etc to get that sweet spot.
What HMD are you using?

(are all the new sign ups and questions the same person)?

Interesting!I will check FPSvr out. However, my ultimate goal is to manually prove the resolution without using middleware.FPSvr would definitely help if it displayed the same resolution as SteamVR since that'd be support for SteamVR being correct, but is there anyway without using middleware to get the raw resolution?

(what new sign ups do you mean?)
