Network issue.

Hi guys,

Trying to add a few devices to my home network but have a strange issue.

I have a cat6 cable running to my garage where I have 2 x HP DL380 G6/G7 servers. These have been working great in the past but have been powered down for the last 6 months or so due to me getting a new NAS and not having time to tinker etc.

I booted them up today but the network said "limited connectivity".

Also, I've just bought a couple of Lenovo M93P "tiny" machines and when I try to connect them to the network (either in the garage or a cable direct from my router) the network lights are both orange.
I can however ping them and get a response, but I cant see them in my "Network" in Windows.

Anyone have any ideas please?

Check the network settings on the server. Are they getting an IP from the router? If server, likely have a static IP you set that is perhaps already in use?

Have you changed your router at all in the time period concerned?

Check the ipconfig on the 2 servers.

Assuming DHCP; Is it a 'good' lease? Is it leased from the correct DHCP server?

Assuming Static IP; Are they using the right gateway IP, are they using the right DNS server IP?

Check the cat6 cabling, pairs may not be correct.
