new nas to replace old lenovo nas

Hi all,

I am looking for any recommendations for a new NAS to replace my oldLenovo ix4-300d.

i would like to have the following specs:
- intel CPU (so i can install / tinker with different os's etc)
- 2gb ram min but can upgrade
- 4 bay
- ability to use plex / ability to upload to cloud / ability to use personal cloud

i've narrowed it down to the following:

Synology DS918
QNAP QNP TS 453BE 4G
Terramaster FS-421
Asustor AS3204T v2

anyone running any of these and have any comments or thoughts?

regards

i ended up buying a Synology DS918

in Thailand they were selling for 17900 bhat (around £470) and that also included a free 4tb Seagate ironwolf drive.

just need to setup and copy my data to it now

I don't think you could go far wrong with Synology to be fair. I was sat on the fence between QNAP and Synology. I opted for a QNAP in the end because of a deal I came across but otherwise I was leaning towards a Synology. I don't think you can go far wrong between the two brands to be honest. No experience of Terramaster or Asustor though.
