Need a new gpu advice please

Hi guys and girls
I have a computer it's a few years old sabertooth 990fx R2.0and a ti sapphire 7870 gpu I think the gpu is cream crackered, looking to buy a card if possible for this, I have a budget of £300 but £200 ideally , I am clueless on latest tech anybody got any advice, will the later cards fit my motherboard

Anything will work.

Which one depends on what you're using it for. For gaming I would generally go for AMD right now due to nVidia's lack of VRR support. Something like an RX 570 if you wanted to spend all of your budget, although a 560 or even a 550 would be an improvement over your current card.

Yes my bad I am a light gamer stuff like player unknown which runs ok at 1080p with low detail and have a 4K monitor what I was concerned about is will they all run in my Mobo slot pic?

Yeah, there haven't been any compatibility changes for some time now, so the PCI-E 2.0 x16 on your 990FX system is still fully compatible with everything on the market.
