Supermicro AOC-SASLP-MV8
My old HTPC has died//static.avforums.com/styles/avf/smilies/facepalm.gifi thought id use this opportunity to upgrade. so i built a new system. All went well until i tried to install the SATA expansion card. Ive downloaded the drivers from here:
ftp://ftp.supermicro.com/driver/SAS/Marvell/MV8/
but every time i try to install them it crashes the PC and i have to carry out a new install of the OS (win 10 Pro)
Ive followed the instruction word for word from the manual, found here:
https://www.supermicro.com/manuals/other/AOC-SASLP-MV8.pdf
if i try to install the driver prior to the OS they arnt recognized as signed drivers so that doesnt work, and if i try to install after the OS it crashes the system so that even a full repair wont work, you have to reinstall the OS....
PLEASE HELP MEEEEEE! if i had hair id be pulling it out right now.... What happens if you just install the card and let Windows Update look for drivers for it, does it also crash or does it not find any?
It may just be a faulty card and the drivers aren't responding to it gracefully.
