Water-cooled PC found a leak onto gpu
Hi all just after advice yesterday I decided to swap a sound card out I put in PC a couple of weeks ago 2min job I thought but I found a patch of residue on the backplate of my 1080ti GPU it was around 30mm in diameter and obviously a leak from the CPU block fittings. I have taken card out and tightened joints up and ran PC briefly via onboard graphics and all seems ok and I could not see any leakage. Anyone with experience think this is just a joint that's worked loose I only tighten by hand so perhaps I need to apply a bit more force..my main concern is it's a faulty coupling pretty sure they are ek compression fittings.Advice help appreciated Forgot to mention when I shut PC down the GPU seemed ok and I had been gaming it did get some water drops on it when I was tightening couplings prior taking it out any suggestions on time period or drying out time before re fitting to test ? Not sure on the watercooling but i would remove the back plate from the GPU to check if any liquid got inside and give it a clean with IPA then put some new thermal paste on
