ARGB Fan confusion.
Hi folks, I'm having a bit of trouble trying to fins a device for my fans. I've a corsair air 540 case with 5 140mm fans. The mobo is an Asus x470 prime pro with aura sync. Im looking to swap the fans with 140mm rgb fans that with work with aura sync.I found these on Amazon (https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07BTF36R6/ref=ox_sc_act_title_4?smid=A16G2RYKO3IO8J&psc=1), £40.59
and these Thermaltake CL-F054-PL12SW-A Riing Plus 12 LED RGB Radiator Fan,5 pack, at & £124
The up here fans connect by molex, so i'll have no aura sync with mobo and memory sticks, the thermaltake fans are dear.
My question is there an RGB fan controllerthat I connect the fans to that works with aura sync? Do the fans have to be aura sync?Do these rgb fans have 2 connecters, rgb AND power?
Many thanks,
G The thermaltake ones have a control box and that connects to an internal USB header/power sockets. They are controlled by their own software. As are Corsair and most others.
The Aura sockets on the mobo are designed for LED strips etc.
If you want total sync you will need to put all your eggs in one basket and go for one manufacturer, like Corsair for example that can sync, RAM,LED,Fans.
I use a mixture of Thermaltake Riing, Corsair iCUE, and Asus Aura. Thank you for your reply. Can you get all your components to sync? Corsair so have an RGB fan controller, but I think it's for corsair RGB fans, would be interested to know if any RGB fan would work. Didn't know the RGB headers on my board are solely for led strips. If they are just for led strips, why are some fans advertising aura sync? Is there an RGB USB on the motherboard? Have a look at this

Hook it up to some riing fans and the mobo and you will be good to go.
I think cooler master make an aura fan, but most ppl go the contriler route and use the other rgb pins for light strips or cpu/gpu blocks Will that controller work with any fans? I watched it on YouTube and it was kinda stating, control yours fans, but not necessarily thermal fans. If I could pair that tt controller with the uphere 140mm RGB fans, that would be great?
