Help with buying a laptop

Hello everyone

I going to be buying a laptop this weekend and I have my heart set on one of two laptops but I can't make my mind up!

They are,

Huawei Matebook X PRO (2018) (i7, 8gb ram, geforce mx150)

Lenovo Y530 (i7 ,16gb ram, geforce 1050ti and 144hz screen edition)

It will be mainly used for lightroom and Photoshop with some gaming thrown in,

What do you think? I'm coming down on the side of the Lenovo but the screen on the Huawei is making me think !

If your using it for photography/digital art work then the Matebook due to the resolution. You will not get the same crisp sharpness your're probably going to need out of the Y530. I believe the Y530 is deemed an entry level product whereas the Matebook is way beyond that, but obviously more expensive.

But if you are seriously into photography/digital art work and you are heavily utilising lightroom you might also want to take a look at the following article on monitor calibration, which might be important to your intended use.
