Lenovo thinkpads

Hey guys,
Was given some Lenovo laptops today, Thinkpads t430. However these have no hdd drives or caddy and no ram.
Are these worth getting up and running?
Also, only have 2 power packs.
Also got 5 docking things, lol.
Thanks for your input.
Got windows licence with these also.

Thinkpads are the default laptop we are issued at work (company issues 1000's of laptops), I got my i5 T430 when they were new and it is still working well for work and expect it will be a few years before it gets replaced with the current model.
Not a powerhouse for gaming or CAD (although mine runs Bentley Microstation) but perfect for general office work, students and such.

Lol.
Looks like these have 4Gb built in. Just put a 4Gb stick in from a fried Acer and now its show total of 8gb.
So funny.

I would say it depends what you would want to be using these laptops for...

The fact that they have no hdd drives or caddy wouldn't make a difference if you just wanted these for browsing, for example. Like you say, you could use the 8gb memory that you have found out.

For basic home/office work, T430 is still a good to go with 4G RAM and SSD. I have a ThinkPad E41, which is still in good conditions.

Thanks for this guys, got two up and running. One is being used as a Plex server with 8gb ram and a 256gb ssd drive and a 10tb hard drive attached to a USB port. Runs sweet.
The other, my daughter is using as a replacement for her liquide fried Acer. Swapped hhd drive and added the ram, so all is sweet.
All the above have Windows 10 pro.
The others were cannibalised for parts.
Thanks
