My wife is changing her laptop and her Apple ipad and needs to know 1 how to transfer the contents she wants to keep from her current laptop to the new one and getting rid of all the rest so the laptop is completely empty.The OS on her current laptop is Windows 8.1 and the new one is Windows 10.2 How to transfer the contents of her Apple ipad air to her new Samsung Galaxy (Not sure of the model number)Is this a job I might be able to do or does it need a expert I have just found the following on Google and wonder if I could use this to transfer from 1 laptop to another as I have a empty 1Terabyte external drive.

this is a method for moving your files and folders only. It means it won't move things like applications, you'd need to install them on the new machine. follow googles instructions and it all automated for you, you just need a gmail account (ipad to Samsung galaxy) Thanks seems to be all sorted now and the wife seems happy
