Thermal Paste Replacement
Hi Guys, just hopingn someone can point me in the right direction on this one please.I've settled on my current computer set ups, I currently have two older NUC's and one ancient (but it fits the bill) Lenovo Thinkpad X240.As they're all getting on in years I think it might be a good idea to replace the thermal paste inside to keep them running as well as can be.Back in my youth, I built a fair few computers, but in the past decade or so, mainly tinkering and adding bits and bobs, so I'll need to buy some sort of cleaning agent and some paste to replace the old stuff. Is there a one for all kit that includes both items, or any suggestions for either/both? and how much should I look to spend?.
Many thanks all.
Rich isopropyl alcohol for cleaning, and I use thermal grizzly paste. ARCTIC MX-4
or
Arctic Silver 5 AS5
Amazon.co.uk: arctic silver 5 thermal paste
isopropyl alcohol - one of the best
MG Chemicals 99.9% Isopropyl Alcohol Liquid Cleaner, Clear , 945 mL Bottle: Amazon.co.uk: Business, Industry & Science
But shop around for these, maybe look on the Bay. AH, many thanks Guys.I'll have a look before committing and see if I can find a smaller bottle of isopropyl as I won't need too much hopefully.
Cheers
Rich
