Getting a Used PC - Is this any good - ADVICE REQUIRED
Hi guys. Don’t really know much about Desktop PC’sI’m hoping to see the following pc advertised locally by a seller - just wanted to ask you computer experts about this model:
HP 24-g099na
It’s an all in one pc. Used.
Spec:
Achieve: Fast computing with the latest techWindows 10Intel® Core™ i3-6100U ProcessorRAM: 8 GB / Storage: 2 TB HDDFull HD displayIt’s going to be a pc for my son to use for homework etc. What price? HP's models with just a number and no name like HP 24 are generally the bottom of the range models so don't expect it to be anything special. The bits after the dash are the particular configuration of components it uses (CPU, memory amount, storage etc.)
It's circa 2015-2016 so three or four years old. Like a lot of cheaper all in ones it uses laptop components rather than the faster desktop ones but those are mid-range parts and it's not too old so it'll be capable enough and easily handle common programs.
It appears to have most of the usual disadvantages of an all in one compared to a MiniPC like awkwardly placed ports and no other inputs on the screen (to use it for other devices like game consoles).
Price-wise I'd expect it to be around £150-175. All in ones do tend to command a bit of a premium. Seller wants £250, May haggle to £200.
It’s only going to be used for homework for my son and maybe a little browsing etc
But wanted to ensure it’s a decent spec and not too expensive for the spec/model
I’m a little concerned with regards to the age of it as the seller said it’s only been used a handful of times I have a couple of PC's available if your interested? Yes please. Can you send me some info If you do agree a deal, please open a thread on the classifieds forum to keep the rule man happy. Yes sure. But wouldn’t this wanted advert suffice? No, because this isn’t a wanted ad, it’s just a thread in the computers forum.
