Update from HP regarding my screen. After a week of me sending them photos to show the screen burn. They have offered to replace the screen under warranty. TBH, i am quite impressed, they didnt question it and will be collecting my laptop tomorrow with a 8 day turn around. They did offer a loan laptop but there is a months waiting list.

Glad that's worked for you.
Damn for me.I bought mine in the USA and now live and work in Bahrain.I'll try to contact HP here and see what can be done but I hope I don't have to send it back t the USA.
edit: Well, that got a bit sqeeky bum for a moment and I was about to throw my toys out of the pram as HP Bahrain stated that although it was Global it doesn't cover ALL parts, only ones that can stock here. Anyway, they do stock so they will repair it. Only downside is that they do not pick up/drop as per the warranty but Bahrain is about as big as a postage stamp so, no big issue.
