motorcycle travel and videocamera
good evening to everybody!!!i like to take my motorcycle and have small or big trips-adventures.
i have only one Gopro 6 for action camera.
Is great ,really great but only for helmet use!
GoPro6 make all landscapes look smaller and more far that really are.
Everyone that have it knows it..
So i want to take videos at 4k,more than 5 minutes continusly, with some serious camera but i dont know what camera to buy..i dont care for fotos, more for video use.i want it more fore standing captures on tripod.
I want to take it with me in a bag ,i dont care if is small or big, not very big ofcourse,
i will take it with my motorcycle.
camcorder?mirrorles? i don't know.. im new ..
i have 700euros for camera and im not hurry, i can wait until april-may 2019.
i dont say no to a used camera..
this is one video from me ,my moto, and my gopro6
i want more details at the points tha i have the camera standing or on my hands The DJI Osmo Pocket may be of use. It seems to be getting a good write up. I've never used a camera on my bike, but a bike vlogger I follow on YouTube used to swear by his Drift Ghost. Although recently he has moved over to the new GoPro for its image stabilisation. I suspect you'll need to watch, look and learn ( from other like-minded Users ) - so the Kit you buy suits your audience.
However, films of continuous 5min are not easy - you need cutaways, different views to tell the story. Your clip shows that when moving through scrubland the trees become fuzzy - this may be a data-rate issue if the original is sharp (in the middle distance). It appears you love that moto and I wonder if a modest drone wouldn't suit? Some have "follow-me" features and as you are not in a populated area the draconian laws we have here should not affect you. However, their battery-life is limited.... BUT you have a motor - presumably you can recharge batteries, too?
In general, WA views are often spectacular, but not easy to create a specific story, where you will find a modest camcorder better ( but more vulnerable ! Take care! ).
-Of course you can combine view from both, OR multi-cut the journey so it creates TWO films. However, this can become confusing - even before you start the Edit process.
I have no idea where the clip was shot - can you introduce with a sketch-map, perhaps?
Good Luck. thanks for answer!
i need more than 5 minutes cause sometimes i left camera to record up on a hill and i maybe im
1-2 kilometres down at the road or path ,so the camera record me from a distance..
ofcourse i dont keep all the footage after, i cut it and i keep what i need, maybe 10 seconds only.
But i need more than 5 minutes for soure if you understand now the reason.
i dont want drone.
Yes i love my bike!
The video was shot at North Greece places, from Thessaloniki city to Porto lagos town.
Places like Kavala,Xanthi,Nestos river,Amfipoli,Kerdilia and others.
All i need is second camera for steady shots and little for handing shots..
I want to have some reasonable zoom if some roads are far from top of some mountain that i am You have indicated all the good reasons for your spec.... The advantage of a modern drone would be its ability to alter height as you get nearer.
From a fixed view-point (tripod) you are likely to be seen only at the end of the hill-climb ( as I understand your filming).
The HC x1 ( and some other Pana camcorders) have "Dolly-Zoom" - this allows the zoom to maintain the image-size - whilst this probably won't work over a longhill-climb it might suit the last 50 yards, giving you a visual "take" that's hard to achieve conventionally. It may require some trialing to work it,solo.
Modern camcorders are not particularly good in the Zoom-dept....4K has mean the longer-zooms are not up to the definition...hence many are now 12xor 20x. The HC X1 is 24x
DYOR.
An alternative might be several lower-spec camcorders (each with a tripod ), so you can slice each hill into sections ( and go back to recover them ).
Good Luck.
